About Harrogate Integrated Facilities
Harrogate Integrated Facilities (HIF) is a wholly owned subsidiary company of Harrogate and District Foundation Trust (HDFT) and supplies services to the hospital and community services with respect to Maintenance, Sterile Services, Portering, Catering, Equipment Library, Linen and Sewing Room, Security, Car Parking, General Office, Front Desk, Reception, Waste Management, Courier Services, Security Services and Domestics. We are a multi-cultural and multi-nationality workforce.

Mark Chamberlain has been Chair of Harrogate Integrated Facilities since July 2020. He was previously Deputy Chair and a Non-Executive Director of Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, from January 2010 to January 2021.
The bulk of Mark’s earlier career was with BT, where he held a variety of senior roles in HR, marketing, operations, strategy, business transformation and business development. He was a member of the BT Yorkshire & The Humber Regional Board from 2000 to 2014 and a Non-Executive director of the Learning and Skills Council Regional Board until 2010. He is a member of the Court of Leeds University. Mark holds an engineering degree from the University of Leeds and lives locally with his wife and two daughters.
A highly experienced leader with significant NHS experience across a range of areas including Business Development, Capital, Business Planning and Strategy Development and Implementation.
Angie has successfully delivered a range of multi-phased capital projects across the Trust and the wider community. Angie has managed the creation of the Business Development model introduced within the Trust including the development of a Business Development Strategy.
Angie has developed a visible leadership approach incorporating team working and prides herself with engagement across all levels.
Lucy has been a Non-Executive Director of Harrogate Integrated Facilities since January 2019 and she is currently the Chair of the Governance & Compliance Committee.
Until early 2019 she was the Facilities Management Director at Covance Laboratories and she currently works as the Senior Facilities Management Lecturer at Leeds Beckett University as well as providing facilities support to South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue. Lucy holds an MBA in Facilities Management and is now completing her PhD in Sustainability.
Roger has been a Non-Executive Director at Harrogate Integrated Facilities since June 2019.
Until early 2018 he was a founding director of the Government Property Agency and had been an Executive Director of UK Shared Business Services Ltd where he established a successful Corporate Real Estate Business which was responsible for the estate of the Department for Business Innovation and Skills plus its various agencies.
Since January 2018 Roger has run his own asset management consultancy.
Gary is an experienced Non-Exec in Not for Profit Housing Associations and UK Membership Agencies, such as the Chamber of Commerce. He was previously on the Board of two large Global IT Service, Consultancy & Facilities businesses, Atos and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young.
Ensuring the delivery of high quality services in an environment where people want to work are at the core of his objectives and approach to supporting boards to provide the governance required.
Gary is also Chair of the People and Culture Committee at HIF.
Jeremy is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and, prior to taking up non-executive roles, held senior positions at Lloyds Banking Group, Asda and Boots the Chemist.
Jeremy is a Non-Executive on the Board of Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, where he chairs the Resources Committee and previously served on the Board of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, where he also chaired their 100% owned subsidiary company, AGH Solutions Limited.
Outside of the NHS, Jeremy is Chair of the Tipton and Coseley Building Society, a mutually-owned organisation in the West Midlands. In addition to his paid roles, he is Chair of Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice in Huddersfield, a Governor at the Grammar School at Leeds and a Trustee in several other local charities.
Matt joined HDFT as Director of Strategy in September 2021 after four years as Director of the West Yorkshire Association of Acute Trusts (WYAAT), nationally recognised as one of the leading provider collaboratives.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, alongside his WYAAT role, Matt was Chief of Staff for the Nightingale Hospital in Harrogate and led the West Yorkshire vaccination programme. Prior to joining the NHS in 2010, Matt served as an army officer in the Royal Signals for 17 years, including on operations in Northern Ireland, Bosnia and Afghanistan.
Matt enjoys supporting teams to solve problems and to seek improvement and innovation. He is passionate about building a culture of continuous improvement throughout both HDFT and HIF.
