The Domestic Services team provides services to our hospitals, including Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust and Ripon Community Hospital, in accordance with the National Specification for Cleanliness (NSC for Healthcare). The service attends to the domestic needs of over 17 wards and approximately 50 departments, both clinical and non-clinical, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is maintained.
Acute Hospital General Administration
The General Office is the friendly first point of contact for patient arrivals, they are happy to assist with all general enquiries. Dealing with many aspects of administration, supporting staff, patients and bereaved relatives, as well as many other areas.
The General Office team also carry out the Main Reception function within Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust during office hours, answering general enquiries and validating car park tickets.
Car Park Management
The Car Park Management team are a small team that work tirelessly to ensure they are on hand to provide help and support on-site regarding any car parking issues.
Linen, Laundry & Sewing Services
The Uniform and Linen Services ensure that all 346 beds across Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust and Ripon Community Hospital have clean linen provided 24/7, working alongside a specialised laundering contractor. The highly skilled Uniform Services sewing technicians provide bespoke fitting and ordering services for all types of uniform across Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust.
Healthcare IPC Deep Cleaning Services
The IPC Deep Cleaning team is highly trained, specialising in decontamination of the infected areas throughout Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust premises. The team uses the latest Hydrogen peroxide vapour technology in accordance with Infection prevention standards, to safely decontaminate areas. Services run 24/7.
