Catering Team

The Catering Services team offers freshly prepared and cooked meals catering for all hospitality needs in house or externally of the Trust, providing hot and cold meals and finger buffets of the highest quality.  The catering provided to HDFT is one of the only few NHS sites that offer this freshly cooked service.

The department is committed to meeting and going above the needs of those requiring certain health related nutritional requirements and diets including vegetarian, Halal or Kosher (prepared in accordance with the dietary guidelines of Jewish and Islamic laws).  The Catering Services supports local companies for food supplies, using only farm assured or red tractor meats, and sustainable fish, and do not use any GM food items or foods with added trans fats.

The team consists of many different roles from chefs, diet clerks, kitchen porters and catering assistants, who strive to make meal times everyone looks forward to.

The Catering Services team offer external catering, such as pre-ordered afternoon teas and celebration cakes.
